The perils of metallic objects in your pool! During a recent tile clean we found this hair clip during clean-up. It might have only been there just a few days (no way to tell), but had already started to rust. Note in the other picture the large patch of brown discoloration, imagine if this had been a plaster surface pool!!!
For Servicing, if any of our existing customers refer us to a new customer, both will receive a 10% discount for 3 months!
For tile cleaning, if you are a previous customer, we will happily offer you a 10% discount on whatever quote we provide for another job. Please mention this immediately after we give you the quote.
Regular cleaning of your pool filter is extremely important in order to maintain clean, clear pool water. Over time, the filter cartridges will become clogged with debris which increases the pressure within the filter and reduces the effective circulation of water back to the pool. Cartridges typically last anywhere from 3-5 years before they need to be replaced.
Be aware that the most dangerous part of pool care is proper handling of the filtration system. Filters are under pressure, and have been known to explode and cause serious injury, and even death.
Everyone at Aquarius would like to wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The things you find in a skimmer basket. This little fella was swiftly rescued, cleaned up, and returned to his owner!
Now that winter is just around the corner, it's a good time to remind all our customers to prepare for cold weather by:
1) turn off and drain solar
2) switch salt cells for blank cells
3) cover any auto fill PVB valves
Here at Aquarius Pool Care, we love to play bingo. We invite any of our customers to join us at the South Point Casino on Las Vegas Boulevard S on the 3rd Monday of each month. Please contact us if you are interested in coming!
Look, sometimes life happens. We get it. You've been out of town or busy with work and all of a sudden your pool is greener than Jim Carey's face in The Mask. Seriously though, did you know that a green pool is a breeding ground for mosquitoes? Those guys carry Zika and West Nile viruses even here in Las Vegas (!), putting your family and neighbors at risk. So, AS SOON AS you see green, call us! The quicker you catch it, the easier and cheaper it is to fix. Costs range from $75-$600, we'll even give you a free quote.
This looks like fun! Glad it's not in one of our pools though!
You shouldn't encourage animals (especially birds) to swim in your pool. The mess they leave behind from hair, feathers, skin, urine and feces leaves your water chemistry in a terrible state.
That means you have to work harder and spend more $$$ to keep your water balanced.
And who needs more work and less money, right?
